For those who want to end their wildlife safari at the beaches of Mombasa, this is the ideal itinerary for you. The safari starts with the Amboseli national park whose land is dominated by the Kilimanjaro, the highest Mountain in Africa. Then proceeds through the Shaitani lava flows and Mzima springs to the Man eating Lions territory which is renowned for its large numbers of Elephants and the famous man eating lions during the construction of the Kenya/Uganda railway in 1890.


Day 1: Nairobi – Amboseli                                              
Pick up from your Nairobi hotel will be followed by a departure for Amboseli National park via the Athi plains and Namanga border for lunch. On arrival, have an afternoon game drive in this park that lies  within the shadow of the  mighty Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain whose peak may be seen from the park’s observation hill in a clear weather. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

Day 2: Amboseli
Proceed for an early morning game drive after breakfast. Several species of plain game including wildebeest, giraffe, Antelopes and a large herd of elephant and hippos can be seen bathing in the swamp grounds whose waters source is Mt. Kilimanjaro. You will have a lunch and leisure break at the Lodge then end with an evening game drive. Overnight at the Lodge.

Day 3: Amboseli – Tsavo west
tsavo peakAfter breakfast, depart amboseli for Tsavo west National park, lunch enroute. You will visit the Shaitani lava flows as the area where the park lies is of volcanic origin. The mzima springs which contain 20 million tones of crystal-clear water from the underground streams of the nearby Chyulu hills are an additional attraction; various aspects of marine life including hippos, crocodile and fish can be seen from the specially constructed underground glass tank. Other animal species found here include; Elephant, gazelle, zebra, giraffe, various birds, buffalo and kudu in a thick acacia setting. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

Day 4: Tsavo west – Tsavo East
tsavoA morning game drive will follow after breakfast and probably view the rock hyrax, quarrels and mongooses as the park contains a large population of these. Depart  for Tsavo East National park which is renowned  for its large numbers of Elephants and the famous man eating lions during the construction of the Kenya/Uganda railway in 1890.Here, only the section south of the Galana River is open to the public for game drives, the rest of the park serves as a wilderness for the animals to retreat into. Here the dried Aruba dam can be seen plus crocodiles at the crocodiles point below the lugard falls. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

Day 5: Tsavo East – Nairobi/Mombasa
After breakfast, you final game drive will follow  during which you may see plains game, zebra, antelope, lesser Kudu, ostrich and large herds of elephant. Lunch will be taken enroute to Nairobi/ Mombasa.
